Sending Messages To Individual Users

All users can send each other messages. This can be done in two ways,

  • From the user’s profile, by clicking the “contact” button under their profile picture.

  • From the user’s listing through the “profile” icon to the right-hand side.

The message will be sent on the marketplace to the user's marketplace inbox. The user will also get a notification to their email address informing them that they have received a new message.

Viewing The Message Received

The user can find all messages sent to them in their marketplace inbox which is available in the header after the Add listing button and before the profile icon. If the user has unread messages, there is a small notification on the profile image and the inbox. From the inbox, they can access, read and reply to the message.

Conversation Between User And Vendor

When a user asks for an item or service, he can add an optional message. This is a great place to ask for more details about availability at certain hours. The vendor can then accept or decline the request based on availability.

Where Can I Find The Inbox?

  1. Log in to your marketplace

  2. Open the Inbox icon in the header menu

  3. You can view different types such as vendor and user messages will be in different tabs.

Will All The Messages Be In A Single Table?

No, messages will be segregated into 3 tabs

  • Messages which have been received from the other vendors that are when you were acting as a user will be in the “From vendor” tab

  • Messages which have been received from the other users that are when you were acting as a vendor will be in the “From user” tab

  • Messages that have been received via the profile contact option will be in the “From Contacts” tab.

Can I Star/Unstar The Messages?

Yes, you can star/unstar the messages.

Can I Archive Certain Messages?

Yes, you can archive any number of messages

Can I Search For The Messages Using Certain Filters?

Yes, you can search for the message using the filter message drop-down at the top. The drop-down will have the following filters

  1. All Messages

  2. Unread Messages

  3. Starred Messages

  4. Archived Messages

On choosing the unread messages from the drop-down, messages which are not read by the user will be filtered out.

On choosing the starred messages from the drop-down, messages which are starred by the user will be filtered out.

On choosing the Archived messages from the drop-down, messages which are archived by the user will be filtered out.

On choosing all messages from the drop-down, message filters will be cleared out and all the messages will be displayed.

What Details Will Be There On Opening Any Messages?

User details such as profile icon, email, booking, and payment details will be on the left side. Chat history and the message input box will be on the right side.
