1. What is Instant Booking?

Instant Booking is a feature that allows customers to confirm a booking immediately without waiting for provider approval.

When Instant Booking is enabled, the booking is automatically approved as soon as the customer completes the payment during checkout. This creates a fast, seamless, and hassle-free booking experience for customers while reducing manual effort for providers.

Instant Booking is ideal for providers who want to accept bookings automatically without reviewing each request manually.


2. How to Enable Instant Booking?

Instant Booking can be configured at two levels:

  • Order Type level (Admin-controlled)

  • Individual Listing level (Provider-controlled)

The available booking options for providers and customers depend on how the Admin configures the Order Type.


A. Enable Instant Booking for an Order Type (Admin Level)

Admins control which booking methods are available under each order type.

Steps:

  1. Log in to the Console Panel

  2. Go to Listings β†’ Manage Order Type

  3. Click Add Order Type or edit an existing one

  4. Enter all required order type details

  5. Under Booking Type, choose one of the following:

    • Instant Booking only

    • Instant Booking + Request to Book

  6. Save the changes

Booking Type Behavior:

  • If Admin selects only Instant Booking

    • Instant Booking becomes the only available option

    • Providers cannot choose Request to Book

    • Customers can only book instantly with automatic confirmation

  • If Admin selects both Instant Booking and Request to Book

    • Providers can choose their preferred booking method

    • Selection can be made while creating or editing a listing

    • Customers will see the booking option chosen by the provider

This configuration applies to all listings created under that order type.


B. Enable Instant Booking for Individual Listings (Provider Level)

Providers can choose the booking method only if multiple options are enabled by the Admin at the order type level.

Steps:

  1. Go to Add Listing

  2. Select the relevant Order Type

  3. Fill in all required listing details

  4. Under Booking Type, choose:

    • Instant Book (if enabled by Admin)

    • Request to Book (if enabled by Admin)

  5. Click Post Your Listing

If Instant Booking is selected, customers can book the listing instantly without approval.
If Request to Book is selected, the booking will require provider approval.


3. How Does Instant Booking Work?

When Instant Booking is enabled for a listing, the booking process is fully automated.

Customer Booking Flow:

  1. Customer selects the required date, time, or duration

  2. Proceeds to checkout and completes the payment

  3. Booking is:

    • Instantly confirmed on the screen

    • Sent via email notification (if enabled)

No manual approval is required from the provider. The system automatically confirms the booking in real time.

Admins have full control over available booking methods at the order type level, while providers can choose their preferred method when multiple options are enabled.
