1. What is the iCal Feature in Listing Availability?

The iCal (Internet Calendar) feature allows you to synchronize your listing’s availability calendar with external booking platforms such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, or Google Calendar.

By enabling iCal sync, your availability stays consistent across all connected platforms. This helps you avoid double bookings, ensures accurate date blocking, and reduces the need for manual calendar updates.

2. What is iCal Import?

iCal Import allows you to connect external booking calendars to your listing’s availability calendar on our platform.

Once imported, any booking or blocked dates from the external platform will be automatically reflected in your listing availability here.

How to Import an iCal Calendar

  1. Go to Dashboard → Listings → Availability

  2. On the right side of the availability calendar, click Import

  3. Enter:

    • Calendar URL (ICS link) from the external platform

    • Calendar Name (for easy identification)

  4. Click the Import button

After successful import, the system will sync and block dates whenever a booking occurs on the connected platform.

3. What is iCal Export?

iCal Export allows you to generate an ICS calendar URL from our platform.

You can copy this URL and paste it into other booking platforms where your listing is published.

This ensures that bookings made on our platform are shared with external platforms, keeping availability aligned everywhere.

When to Use iCal Export

  • When your property or service is listed on multiple platforms (e.g., Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com)

  • When you want bookings from our platform to automatically block dates on other platforms

  • To maintain consistent availability without manual updates

4. How Does iCal Synchronization Work?

iCal synchronization works using ICS calendar links that exchange booking and blocked-date information between platforms.

There are two types of synchronization available:

1. Automatic Sync

  • The system automatically syncs all connected iCal calendars every 1 hour

  • During each sync, the system checks for:

    • New bookings

    • Cancellations

    • Availability updates

  • Any detected changes are automatically reflected in your listing’s availability calendar

  • This background process helps prevent double bookings across platforms like Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com

  • No manual action is required for automatic hourly sync

2. Manual Sync

Manual sync allows you to update your calendar instantly whenever needed.

How to Perform a Manual Sync

  1. Go to Dashboard → Listings → Availability

  2. Locate your connected iCal calendar

  3. Click the “Sync One” button

This will immediately fetch the latest booking data from the linked calendar.

Manual sync is useful when:

  • You’ve just received a new booking or cancellation on another platform

  • You don’t want to wait for the next automatic hourly sync

Summary

The iCal feature ensures seamless availability management across multiple platforms by combining automatic hourly syncing with the flexibility of manual sync. By using iCal Import and Export, you can confidently manage bookings without worrying about overlapping reservations.
