If you're looking to enable the live chat feature on your platform using Google Tag Manager, just follow the steps below to add the required HTML.
Step 1: Go to the Tags tab in Google Tag Manager
Navigate to your GTM workspace and select the "Tags" tab from the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Create a New Tag
Click the “New” button in the top right corner to create a new tag.
Step 3: Choose Tag Type: Custom HTML
In the tag configuration panel, select “Tag Configuration”, then choose “Custom HTML” from the list of tag types.
Step 4: Insert Your HTML Code
Paste the live chat HTML code snippet into the provided field. This code is usually provided by your chat platform provider.
Step 5: Set Up a Trigger
Click on “Triggering”, then choose when you'd like this tag to fire.
Step 6: Select “All Pages” and Click “Add”
For the chat to be available across your entire site, select the “All Pages” trigger. Then click “Add” to apply the trigger to your tag.
Step 7: Save and Publish
Once your tag and trigger are set, click “Save”, and don’t forget to Submit and Publish your changes in GTM for them to take effect.
